Cell Signaling Pathways

Reinterpretation of structural and sequence data of the death domain superfamily of proteins involved in programmed cell death signaling. Apoptosis is a signaling pathway crucial to normal cell development and dysfunction causes a myriad disease states from cancers to autoimmune diseases. We reinterpreted existing structural data to glean novel protein-protein interaction information and proposed a novel model for the DISC complex that will prompt novel experiments not only in DISC research but the entire death domain superfamily.
